Traditional four step process. Five solution kit. Gram stain #1 in two separate bottles to enhance shelf life, mix on slide at time of use. Water-based stains for more intense staining. Drop dispensing polyethylene containers.
Kit contains:
Alkaline Crystal Violet, 1 oz plastic container
Alkalinizing Solution, 1/2 oz plastic container
Iodine Solution, 1 oz glass container
Decolorizing Solution, 2 oz glass container
Counterstain, 1 oz plastic container
1/2 oz bottle = 15 ml
1 oz bottle = 30 ml
2 oz bottle = 60 ml
Alkanizing solution and counterstain do not require a MSDS due to it either being inherently non-toxic or is non-toxic in the form, concentration or quantity supplied by Delasco.
GRAM/H, GRAM is/are classified as a hazardous material by the US Department of Transportation and incurs hazardous materials charges when shipped by air service within the United States. Domestic air service is only available by UPS and the additional hazardous material handling charge is $35.00. No hazardous material charge is incurred when shipped by ground service. Inquire regarding transportation to any international destination.
