Veinlite II New Features:
Quick Summary
A bright (150 watts) fiber optic based transilluminator for mapping of varicose veins and vein access. It is excellent for mapping superficial varicose veins and finding feeder veins for sclerotherapy.
More Details
Veinlite II is a special imaging device that uses a side transilluminating technique for visualizing veins. Side transillumination is a technique whereby a ring of bright fiber optic light is directed at an angle into the skin such that it is focused under the lesion.
Veinlite II has two light settings: a bright white light and an orange light option which gives a higher contrast and is especially beneficial when viewing small superficial veins.
The focused light creates a virtual light source under the skin that uniformly transilluminates the skin inside the ring light opening. The light source is a halogen lamp with variable intensity control.
The light is channeled through a flexible fiber optic guide to the specially designed 36 mm C-Shaped light ring where it is directed in to the skin. A bright, uniform illumination with a large opening for mapping varicose veins, finding reticular veins, use with lasers, and easy venous access. The Veinlite II ring illuminator comes with disposable plastic barrier covers and is autoclavable. It is designed to be compatible with the new CDC guidelines for sterilization and disinfection when working with blood.
Important: Veinlite II is a device which allows the physician to obtain more information about superficial veins. This information should be incorporated with patient history and other examination information by the physician to aid with diagnosis. Veinlite II data should not be used solely for making a clinical diagnosis of vein disease.
The Veinlite II comes complete with the patented transilluminator ring, one pack of 50 protective covers, a 6' long fiber-optic cable, a 150 watt halogen bulb and power source.
1 year warranty.
