A device to prevent cross-contamination via direct application of LN. Cross-contamination has been demonstrated through liquid nitrogen therapy, and this modality is subject to the general rules of isolation and sterilization which govern the rest of your surgical practice.
The Asepticator is a handy organizer which has an insulated well to accept a stainless steel vessel, which can be removed and sterilized between patients, thus interrupting any possible chain of cross-contamination.
The vessel is 2 oz. capacity, and filled, is sufficient to treat most any patient. When filled, about 1/2 oz. of LN is consumed in cooling, which takes about 15 to 20 seconds. Once filled and cooled, the LN supply is workable for about 20 minutes, taking 45 minutes to complete evaporation.
For small or few lesions, the vessel can be partially filled. The Cryo-Tainer is a practical transfer container.
