Delasco ElectroTips are disposable electrodes available in sterile or non-sterile, sharp or blunt. They fit snugly in the new Delasco Electricator with screw-down collar, as well as, the Delasco 734, all Hyfrecators, Bovie Specialist, Electricator, Ellman handswitching pencil, Valley lab and most other machines using 3/32" shaft sizes.
The shaft has plastic insulation to protect the operator from inadvertent injury. The tips are bent at the optimum operating angle. Non-sterile version is used to avoid cross contamination for most dermatologic procedures.
When a sterile field is required, sterile ElectroTips should be used. Blunt tips are recommended for electrocoagulation. The sharp tips are recommended when it is desired to have the electrode penetrate into the tissue somewhat, such as when desiccating a wart.
The non-sterile electrodes feature a hexagonal collar to help stop twisting of the electrode.
