Traditional four step process. Five solution kit. Gram stain #1 in two separate bottles to enhance shelf life, mix on slide at time of use. Water-based for more intense staining. Drop dispensing polyethylene containers.
Kit contains:
#1A - Alkaline Crystal Violet, 1 oz plastic container
#1B - Alkalinizing Solution, 1/2 oz plastic container
#2 - Iodine Solution, 1 oz glass container
#3 - Decolorizing Solution, 2 oz glass container
#4 - Counterstain, 1 oz plastic container
1/2 oz bottle = 15 ml
1 oz bottle = 30 ml
2 oz bottle = 60 ml
Alkanizing solution and counterstain do not require a MSDS due to them either being inherently non-toxic or non-toxic in the form, concentration or quantity supplied by Delasco.

GRAM, GRAM/H is/are classified as a hazardous material by the US Department of Transportation and incurs hazardous materials charges when shipped by air service within the United States. Domestic air service is only available by UPS and the additional hazardous material handling charge is $37.50. More than one hazardous material charge may be required depending on the quantity or combination of products ordered. No hazardous material charge is incurred when shipped by ground service. Inquire regarding transportation to any international destination.
