Cimeosil Gels have been proven effective for the treatment of both scars and laser-induced erythema. Cimeosil is a viscous silicone preparation that forms a thin membrane on the skin.
Cimeosil Scar Gel was developed for difficult body scars. The patient massages a small amount into the scar and removes the excess with a tissue until the area is dry and no longer tacky. It is applied twice daily and may be covered with cosmetics after application.
Cimeosil Laser Gel is best used on the face for laser erythema. The patient massages a small amount into the scar and removes the excess with a tissue until the area is dry and no longer tacky. It can dramatically reduce this laser erythema in as little as 48 hours.
