Dy-O-Derm is a product used for the cosmetic cover-up of vitiligo lesions. This long-lasting, nontoxic skin stain helps to make the light-colored areas of skin due to vitiligo blend with normal skin tones.
It contains water-soluble cosmetic dyes which color the skin to give instant relief from the cosmetically undesirable spots. The colorants cover the spots while the ingredient dihydroxyacetone has a chance to stain the skin in a more permanent manner. The cosmetic dyes (colorants) wash off.
Dy-O-Derm is not greasy, and the stain developed by the dihydroxyacetone will not wash off. Density of the color is determined by the number of applications and the texture of the skin. After the proper skin color has been achieved, application is usually only necessary every 4 to 7 days. If only a very light stain/tone is required, wash the applied area 1 to 2 hours after application to stop the staining.
Since it won't wash off, but rather wears off, Dy-O-Derm allows the vitiligo patient to engage in normal activities, and eliminates in most cases, the need for heavy make-up to cover the condition.
Apply to the affected skin areas with a cotton swab daily, after the bath until the desired degree of stain is obtained. Therefore, a single application every 4 to 7 days should be sufficient. Not for use on large areas of the body or whole body coverage. 4 oz bottle.

DYODERM is/are classified as a hazardous material by the US Department of Transportation and incurs hazardous materials charges when shipped by air service within the United States. Domestic air service is only available by UPS and the additional hazardous material handling charge is $35.00. No hazardous material charge is incurred when shipped by ground service.
