FACIAL DANGER ZONES
Brooke R. Seckel
St. Louis

A wonderful atlas of facial danger zones, Dr. Seckel's text is concise and well illustrated. The author takes readers through a series of seven facial danger zones, each covered with extensive anatomical drawings and text. Of particular value is the description of the typical mode of injury in each zone during surgery. Recommendations are made to avoid these intraoperative complications.

The book succeeds admirably in its goal of outlining primarily for the facelift surgeon the areas of greatest risk of neurological damage during the procedure. The book is particularly applicable to those surgeons performing deep plane or composite techniques with extensive sub-SMAS dissections. It will also be welcomed as a versatile reference source by surgeons performing other facial aesthetic procedures as well.
