Although chemical peels and diamond fraise dermabrasion are quite useful for facial rejuvenation, the ultrapulse CO2 laser has certain advantages. Resurfacing of the eyelids is best accomplished with the ultrapulse CO2 laser.
The laser not only resurfaces but tightens up the dermal collagen getting rid of small lines and folds. The laser is also quite helpful on the cheeks and forehead to remove lentigoes, actinic keratoses, and fine lines.
When combined with facial peels or diamond fraise dermabrasion the operator can produce a selective feathering of rejuvenation on the neck and a selective depth of resurfacing for acne scars, telangiectasias and skin carcinoma.
