Aging of the orbital unit is a series of events including the development of lower lid fat pads, a laxity of skin and a brow ptosis. The sequence of this rejuvenation is quite important. The transconjunctival lower lid blepharoplasty is accomplished first, then the skin of the orbit is rejuvenated.
After the upper lid blepharoplasty, the retro-orbicular fat is removed and eyebrow is suspended. This combination of procedures opens up the orbital unit, provides long-term rejuvenation and retards further brow ptosis.
