Product Details
Sorbsan Topical Wound Dressing is a sterile, non-woven pad composed of fibers prepared from calcium alginate, a cellulose-like polysaccharide.
The surface of Sorbsan, in immediate contact with wound exudate, forms a soft hydrocolloid gel. This gel maintains a physiologically moist microenvironment at the wound surface that is conductive to granulation tissue formation, rapid epithelialization and healing.
Sorbsan is ideal for wounds prone to bleeding such as donor sites and wounds which have been mechanically or surgically debrided. Calcium alginate is absorptive and has been shown to aid in the control of minor bleeding. It conforms to the wound bed.
Sorbsan should not be used on third degree burns or on individuals with a known sensitivity to alginates.
Sterile. Box of 10.
