In 1981, Vigilon primary wound dressing became the first hydrogel available for wound management. Since then, others have tried to duplicate the soothing properties of Vigilon dressing, but no other hydrogel feels as wet, conforms as well, or provides the same cooling effect. And now, Vigilon dressings are more cost effective than most other advanced wound care dressing.
Vigilon primary wound dressing is a hydrogel formulation consisting of 96% water, yet it still has the ability to absorb wound exudate. This makes it an ideal dressing for a wide variety of wound conditions including burns, dermal ulcers, and moist and dry desquamations.
Primary wound dressing. Non adherent, transparent, and compatible with topical antimicrobials. Easy to apply, remove protective backing, place over wound surface and secure with tape.
