Curasorb Calcium Alginate Dressing
Derived from natural seaweed, these dressings interact with sodium present in wounds. The ion exchange creates a gel which provides the optimal moist environment for wound healing.
Prevents skin maceration. Enhances dressing integrity and conformance. Minimizes tissue trauma and maximizes patient comfort - especially upon removal!
Reduces dressing changes. Customizable to a variety of wounds. Ideal for loose packing in deep wounds. Non-adherent.
Applications include: dehisced surgical wounds, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, arterial ulcers, donor sites, second-degree burns, abrasions, lacerations, skin tears, pressure ulcers and other external wounds with moderate to heavy exudate.
