| Nail Care \ Mycocide® NS Nail Solution | Mycocide NS Instructions
| From Woodward Laboratories, Inc.
1. Apply twice a day around the nail and under the free edge. Allow Mycocide NS to penetrate and dry.
2. To speed and enhance treatment, follow a good hygienic regime:- Dry feet (or hands) thoroughly, including between toes (or fingers), after bath or shower.
- Rotate shoes daily allowing 24 hours between wearing for airing out.
- Remove sources of recontamination by treating any concurrent condition as advised by your health care provider.
3. Be patient. Healing varies: Toes respond slower than fingers. The average therapy program requires 6-12 months for toes and 3-6 months for fingers. Patients with decreased blood flow or slower healing can require 12-18 month treatment programs.
4. Be patient. Most individuals have had problems for years. Many have used topical preparations or oral medications with little or no results. Individuals with pain may notice a decrease in the pain in as little as 1 or 2 weeks after initiating therapy.
5. There is no need for women to remove any nail polish if they choose not to do so.
6. Mycocide NS is deactivated by soaps. It is important that the digits be rinsed and dried thoroughly before application.
7. Reduction by filing and/or clipping the damaged tissue speeds therapy by allowing more complete penetration of Mycocide NS to the affected area.
8. Since different types of microbes may remain dormant for quite some time, it is recommended that you continue to use Mycocide NS after your appearance improves. Continue to apply Mycocide NS daily for a minimum of three months for fingers and six months for toes.
9. Individuals whose medical status may predispose them to reoccurrence should continue daily use of Mycocide NS and follow a proper hygienic regimen. These include diabetics, individuals with systemic disease or poor circulation, those over 60 years of age, individuals exposed to microbes including people in the military service, agriculture, health clubs, healthcare, etc.
