Sunday Afternoons "certified sun fabrics" are tested and rated at a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) of 40-50. A hat with a UPF 50 rating blocks 98+% of the suns UV radiation.*
Hat fabrics are made with the latest technology which include permanent solar protection finishes, quick dry wicking properties, breathability, color fastness, and antimicrobial freshness.

Children's sun hats feature front brim & back neck veil for full face, ears & neck coverage.
Experts warn that up to 50% of skin damage occurs before children reach the age of 18. Unlike the modified ball caps with flaps on the market, these Play Hats feature a full brim that continues around the sides for cheek and ear protection.- Down-sloping front brim and full back veil for back of neck coverage.
