Quasar LED OptiVisor Light

The picture above shows how the Quasar LS LED Model 6010 Light mounts on the OptiVisor (sold separately).

This is an LED lighting system designed specifically for the OptiVisor and OptiVisor LX. The six LED bulbs have over 100,000 hour life expectancies and batteries will keep LED lights bright for 16 hours or more.

The LEDs found in the Quasar LS 6010 have been specifically chosen to give you the best possible LED lighting solution available. Through extensive research, our LEDs are chosen based on intensity, radiant pattern, color temperature and battery life.

• The cooler temperature of our LED is similar to a "Pure White" halogen lamp, the LEDs are bright white with a blue hue to them which is ideal for most inspection purposes.

It is difficult to stress just how bright the Quasar LS actually is and how well it works. No picture is capable of displaying the true intensity of the LEDs. Once you see and experience the Quasar LS for yourself, it is easy to understand what we mean.

The placement of the LEDs on the Quasar Lighting System plays an essential role in the over all performance of the Lighting System. Rather than having only one or two bulbs lighting your work area, the Quasar LS utilizes multiple light sources located in an array around your field of vision. The result is an even, bright field of light that is focused directly in your line of sight. It is similar to having several lights focused directly onto your work area from different angles.

The entire Lighting System is also light weight. Only weighing 25 grams without batteries and 57 grams with batteries, the lighting system can be added to your visor without noticing much difference.

With the recent introduction of Lithium AA batteries like, weight can be further reduced. Although Lithium batteries are more expensive, they weigh about 1/3 that of a standard Alkaline battery and last about 4 times longer.

The package contains: Quasar LED light and battery holder assembly, two AA batteries, velcro strap, two attachment pins, a longer screw for OptiVisors fitted with OptiLoupes and an instruction manual.

To install, remove the current lens, mount the Quasar light to the lens and reinstall both into the OptiVisor frame.
