Medical Sales Representative

Sales Team | Remote (NE, IA, TX, AR, CA)

This position is responsible for developing new business by signing new customer accounts, expanding existing customers and re-engaging former customers of Delasco. The position consists of developing relationships and working closely with customers for feedback, then strategizing on the best course of action to win a larger share of business or to win back lost business. Additionally, this position will assist the Sales Manager with special projects. This is a remote position and we are currently only considering candidates located in NE, IA, TX, AR and CA. 

Our Sales Representative Will Be Responsible For…
• Sales (80% of the time)
• Communicates Delasco value proposition & client benefits, clearly articulating brand advantages in the competitive landscape to enable Delasco’s position as the preferred vendor.
• Actively develop and manage a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to support delivery of the inside sales revenue plan through product sales.
• Creates weekly strategic action plans identifying specific targets including new customer development and follow-up sales activities for open opportunities.
• Designs the appropriate probing questions for the sales calls to identify customer’s potential needs or issues.
• Communicates new product and service opportunities, special developments and industry information.
• Prepare / maintain cross referencing for Sales and Marketing leadership and expanding competitive position.
• Achieves required daily / weekly sales activity expectations as provided by Sales Manager / Senior Leadership within Delasco. (i.e. Call campaign to a minimum of 30 customers per day from a target list.)
• Re-establishes customer relationships and develops strong customer relationships via virtual sales (vs. F2F).
• Accurately maintain customer records in CRM and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
• Prepares presentations, proposals, and sales contracts via phone.
• Participates in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events as required.
• Identifies and resolves customers concerns to retain and grow Delasco business.
• Administrative (10% of the time)
• Develops and maintains sales materials and current product knowledge.
• Prepares paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
• Prepares a variety of weekly status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
• Personal Development (10% of the time)
• The AM will become knowledgeable on the marketplace and key players that operate within the industry
• Constantly refines sales technique based upon feedback from prior calls.
• Collaborates and shares best practices across the Delasco team to improve overall knowledge and value of all team members
• Performs in a manner consistent with company core values and mission.
• Exercises discretion and independent judgment on significant matters.
• Provides excellent customer experience.
• Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.
• Manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting deadlines.
• Adheres to all OSHA and company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.
• Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

The Idea of a Perfect Candidate Is Someone With…
• Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Skilled in use of computer and software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong experience with CRM systems, specifically Dynamics CRM or ability to learn same.
• Fluently speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to persuade and influence others.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and policy instructions.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to speak persuasively over the phone.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent as well as to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, freight, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking; bending; pushing; pulling; sitting for extended periods of time at a desk using a computer, phone and headset; and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
• Position spends approximately 90% of time sitting at a desk and 10% standing or walking.
• Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
• Ability to manage stress.
• While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is exposed to computers and general office equipment at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May occasionally be required to work, walk, and interact in other environments such as a warehouse or production facility where the noise level is high.

Education & Experience...
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing. Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in marketing or sales selling multiple products, not services. Three more years of experience may be substituted for degree.
