The Delasco CNH® Ear Protector is useful to relieve the discomfort associated with the condition known as Chondrodermatitis Nodularis Helicis (CNH) or during recovery from ear surgery. 

Note: Not intended for sustained, direct pressure on the affected ear but only for inadvertent pressure such as turning while sleeping. The Ear Protector is not intended for comfort or for use as a pillow for sleeping.  

  • The dense foam of the CNH encircles your ear and protects it from inadvertent contact.
  • The generously sized cavity can accommodate all ear sizes.
  • The wide elastic straps are attached by velcro and can be arranged in six possible combinations to assure the most comfortable fit possible.
  • Both the strap and ear protector are washable in mild soap with no heat drying. Latex-free.
  • This product is non-returnable and non-refundable once order has shipped.

CNH Ear Protector

The concept and design work well. It seems it would accommodate a wide range of head and ear sizes and shapes. However, both the strap and the 'donut' are made from very stiff, hard materials, making them so uncomfortable for me that I can't spend more than 15 minutes or so lying on the side that is affected. A thin layer of some sort of cushioning on the surface of the 'donut' that is next to the head would make this a 5 start product.

Very uncomfortable to wear. Received it yesterday, put it on last night and took it off within 5 ...

I could have made this for $5.00. I paid just under $40.00 with $14.00 shipping plus taxes. Plus, it is uncomfortable.

Chondrodermatitis Pain Relief

I am a side sleeper. This product has enabled me to sleep on my side and allowed my ear to heal. I stopped using the strap that came with it almost immediately. When I'm in a comfortable position, I just lift my head and place it under my ear. During the night when I turn to the other side, I move it under the other ear that's against the pillow. Strange as this sounds, it works for me!
