Heard It From aDermatologist First
"I like it for multiple reasons. One is it's really ergonomic... it feels natural in my hand. Two is, it's really quiet, so I'm chatting the whole time that I'm with a patient and I don't want to be yelling. The depth can be changed in 0.25 millimeter increments, which other pens can't."
Dr. Keller has been performing microneedling for over 10 years. She walks through why she recommends the Delasco pen, the ROI for her practice, and how she combines treatments for greater patient results.

My pen is running out of battery quicker than anticipated.
First, please confirm the pen is fully charged. When plugged into the charger, the display will show an “F” once the battery is fully charged. If the pen is fully charged but you are still experiencing issues, the needled cartridge may not be fully connected. To properly attach the needle cartridge, align it with the opening of the pen, insert it fully and twist the cartridge until you hear a click.
If the cartridge is not securely connected, the pen will automatically shut off as a safety feature to help prevent sharp injuries. This can sometimes appear as though the battery is draining, when the pen is actually powering down due to an improper cartridge connection.
I’m worried about blood flowing into the pen, resulting in cross contamination.
The microneedling pen has a built-in backflow protection. Each disposable needle cartridge includes a medical-grade silicone membrane that prevents serum, blood, or other fluids from flowing back into the device. This one-way system keeps the handpiece clean, maintains consistent needle performance, and helps prevent cross contamination between clients.
Can I use a disinfectant other than the one in the instruction manual to clean and disinfect the microneedling pen?
The specific products referenced in the manual were the ones that were tested with the device. We cannot guarantee that other disinfectants will work and produce the same results because they were not tested, so please use your best discretion.
Is the Delasco Microneedling Pen professional grade?
The microneedling pen is FDA-cleared, which means it meets a higher standard than non-FDA cleared pens. FDA-cleared is the same status of leading professional pens on the market.
Will other cartridges fit the Delasco Microneedling Pen?
No. The cartridges that come with the pen and that are available to purchase separately from Delasco are the only cartridges that can be used with the pen.
Is there a warranty for the Delasco Microneedling Pen?
Yes. The pen comes with a 1-year warranty. If you are not satisfied with the device. Consumable cartridges are single-use and not covered under the hardware warranty.
What product is recommended to use on the skin, so the pen glides during treatment?
Skin Therapeutic HA/16 is a hyaluronic acid designed to make moving the pen accross the skin smoothly and helps infuse moisture into the skin during a microneedling treatment. Hyaluronic acid is known for it’s ability to help skin retain moisture and help the healing process after a microneedling treatment.
Can you nanoneedle with the Delasco Microneedling Pen?
While we do not carry a dedicated nanoneedle cartridge, you can achieve similar shallow-depth results by setting the depth adjustment to the 0.25mm setting. This allows for product infusion and surface-level treatment comparable to nanoneedling techniques.
