Sensitivity to nickel in jewelry, watchbands, keys and other common metal objects can be a pain. Delasco's Spot Test for Nickel warns patients of the presence of nickel before they have to suffer.
Now available as a single solution formula! Enough for approximately 100 -150 tests depending on quantity used per test. Contains 1% dimethylglyoxime and 10% ammonium hydroxide. 1/2 oz bottle.
Simple to use: Add 2-3 drops to a cotton-tipped applicator. Firmly rub the moistened tip on the object being tested in a circular motion for 5 seconds. The swab will turn pink if available nickel is present. Any other color change indicates that nickel is not present in a detectable quantity.
Important notes: The item should be tested in an inconspicuous area as it may cause a visible change to the finish of some metallic items. Alternative colors may be observed due to the presence of other metal ions such as copper or iron, for example. Use with caution near some plastics as the solution's alcoholic base may soften or dull the finish of some plastics.
