About DemeSILK Sutures

DemeTECH’s Silk suture is a non-absorbable, sterile, coated, braided surgical suture composed of an organic protein called fibroin. DemeTECH’s silk sutures are processed to remove the natural waxes and gums from its origin. DemeTECH’s silk sutures are not considered absorbable sutures, progressive degradation in vivo of its fibers may result in the gradual loss of tensile strength within the first year.
