Care of the MadaJet XL

When you receive your new MadaJet XL, please read all the literature carefully, then follow these simple directions which take only several seconds.

1. Prepare MadaSonic Solution - See directions on bottle.

2. Remove head assembly and pour approximately 3 cc of the diluted MadaSonic Solution into fill chamber, then PRIME instrument (see page 4 of Product Manual "Priming"). Screw head assembly onto body, cock & fire 2 times (see page 2 of Product Manual).

3. Pour enough MadaSonic Solution (diluted) into MadaJet Stand to cover Extenda Tip. Place MadaJet into stand.

If you are now going to use your MadaJet,

1. Unscrew head assembly and dump out the MadaSonic Solution from the fill chamber.

2. To wash out MadaSonic Solution, put approximately 2-3 cc of sterile water or anesthetic solution into fill chamber, PRIME instrument as above, then dump out contents of fill chamber.

3. Put 1-3 cc of anesthetic agent or medicament to be used into fill chamber, PRIME, screw head onto body, cock & fire, and put MadaJet XL into stand (holder).

YOU ARE NOW READY FOR DAILY USE.

At the End of Each Days Work, Please Do the Following:

1. Empty fill chamber of contents.

2. Pour appoximately 2 cc of diluted Mada Sonic Solution into fill chamber.

3. PRIME instrument (see page 4 of Product Manual "Priming"), screw head onto body, cock and fire 2 times.

4. Place sheath over Extenda Tip and return MadaJet XL to stand. You may elect to autoclave the entire MadaJet XL. If you do so, use autoclave or gas sterilization, follow normal procedures for each. Do not use dry heat.

DO NOT LEAVE ANESTHETICS IN MADAJET XL OVERNIGHT.

USE ONLY THE DILUTED MADASONIC SOLUTION FOR CLEANING.

CHANGE THE MADASONIC SOLUTION
IN THE MADAJET HOLDER AT LEAST EVERY OTHER DAY.

Helpful Hints:
  • Loss of penetration occurs
  • Unusual pain at injection site
  • Fuzzy stream
If any of the above occurs, the following may correct these problems:

1. Take stylet from case and probe orifice of the Extenda Tip. This should dislodge any clogging of the orifice.

2. Fire the MadaJet XL several times to see if you now have a proper stream.

3. If you have an ultrasonic cleaner, place Extenda Tip and head assembly into unit for 10 minutes. Use diluted MadaSonic Solution in unit to provide cleaning and germicidal action. (Should be done only once a week.)

If you have any problems, please call our office at 1-800-332-MADA.
